The Training and Skills Commission’s Training Priorities Plan 2020-2021 is an action-focused roadmap designed to increase collaboration across government, industry and the training sector - and significantly enhance Vocational Education and Training (VET) in South Australia.
The Plan – to be reviewed annually - reflects training and skills priorities identified through targeted consultation with key stakeholders and the Commission’s cross-sector Industry Skills Councils. It is intended it will be reviewed in late March 2021.
The Plan, which identifies system reforms and actions reflecting industry demand for skills, today and into the future, was developed (and implementation commenced) prior to the global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Since that time, significant disruption has occurred, impacting the ability of the Commission and its action partners to progress some actions outlined within the Plan. However, the Commission remains committed to delivering on the outcomes of the Plan, working in partnership with key stakeholders against revised timeframes.
